Sold 100 sh TOL @ 24.87

Trading (TOL: 18.20 +1.51%) continues. It went up 2 points today so I sold it for a nice profit.

Bought 100 sh TOL @ 22.87

Today TOL went down 2 points, so to be true to my words I bought it back. Let’s see what the future will bring.

Sold 200 sh LIOX @ 3.69

The ceiling of my “old love” (LIOX: 4.42 +1.61%) is $3.70 and I am selling another 200 sh at this point hoping to purchase them back when it goes back to $3. This is a huge loss sale, but I need to clean up my LIOX position, so I am working on it. I still own 2000 sh of LIOX at average of 5.5074. It is time to lower my average.

LIONBRIDGE TECH INC (LIOX)     200   728.04   1,465.53      -737.49

Sold 100 sh TOL @ $24.87

From the short term TOL is overbought, so I am selling. Gain of only $12.30 is ridiculous, but at the same time looks like TOL’s ceiling is $25 and bottom is around $20. Selling at the gain avoids wash sale issue and will allow me to enter the trading stage and I am going to trade this puppy for a while.

TOLL BROS INC (TOL)     100   2,477.03   2,464.73   12.30
 03/24/2008  07/02/2007   100   2,477.03   2,464.73   12.30

Dividents GXP $20.75 (50sh $0.415/sh)

Today GXP has treated me to dividends. Nothing big to talk about. (GXP: 19.06 +0.85%) went down below $25, but it looks as if it is not going to stay there that long. I am very short on cash so can’t really buy it at these levels. So, I am enjoying the dividends and hoping to build more cash in a near future.

March 14, 2008

I think I am noxious. The rollercoaster Mr. Market has prepared for us this week was as good as one at the Puyallup Fair, here in Washington. On the positive side, GHS reported decent Q4. Excluding goodwill and mastheads write-offs , GateHouse earned 33 cents a share, compared with 9 cents a share analysts expected. Looks like GHS might have found the bottom. Dividends for this quarter are only $0.20 per share, but still it is well above 10% yield. I say not bad. I am holding GHS.
JMBA also reported fourth-quarter earnings. Total revenue increased 9.7%, but company-owned comparable store sales decreased 3.3%. Which was expected considering the housing mess in California. People do not have money to pay the mortgage, I would expect they have no spare cache  for smoothies, or do they? On the other hand, Jamba also got rid of its huge goodwill ($200.6 million) which I think is great, and they expect to end this year somewhere around break even mark. Share price went down today, but considering the market downswing it was not that bad. I am holding JMBA.

Bought 200 sh JMBA @ 2.48

This too shall pass. We are in the point where everyone is throwing towel. But is it everyone? Lot of money has passed hands. The housing market in California and Florida is going down the drain. Well and what do I do in situation such this? I add to my JMBA stake. Why? JMBA is still growing its smoothie business. The deal with Nestle will bring their product to retailers, which in return should bring better recognition and money in return.

March 5, 2008

Well last week’s summary is a little bit late. I had to fly on emergency business trip to Europe. When I checked the market last Wednesday, everything looked just great. DHI went over $17, and couple of other stocks were in black. That night my laptop broke, so I did not check the market for the rest of the week. It seemed like Mr. Market is finally leaving the bottom and showing me some greens. Well, when I checked it again on Sunday, it was back in the same place I left it week ago. I did not sell anything and I did not buy anything.

Sold 50 sh AIG @ $47.08

This was a short term parking money play. I maid $70 or so just to park my money. I am raising capital for next week. The economic figures are due next week to show us where we are heading, so I think it is time to have same cash on hands, just in case a new oportuniny shows to buy. If AIG goes down to $45 level, I might be buying back to park the money again.

Bought 100 sh GHS @ $6.77

What changed since January 10, 2008? Stock went up to almost $10, it was overbought, then started to slide down passed my January 10 buy, and went down to another short-term buy signal. So I bought, this is my last buy of GHS. Now is time to let it do the magic.
