Sold 100 sh TOL

Yes, I sold again. Looks like everyone is buying. This is my third sell of TOL for a loss. IMHO in the short run TOL is overbought, so I want to raise some capital so when a time is right I can buy again. So far my trades in TOL do not look impressive at all:

12/27/2007 06/07/2007 100 2,043.01 2,759.95 -716.94
01/25/2008 06/19/2007 100 2,209.03 2,662.51 -453.48

Someone my ask if selling TOL why not selling DHI? I bought DHI on dip at the begining of January, so if I sell small position I would be hit by wash sale, and if I liquidate my DHI position I would be out of chance to make money in the long run. BTW, I am up over $1000 on DHI as of today. I will post details on DHI later.

Would-have-should-have-could-have: One thing I should have done is buy some LEN or PHM when I bought DHI. Why not TOL? I could not buy more TOL at the time for the same reason I did not sell DHI today - wash sale.

Bought 1000 sh ZHNE at $1.01

ZHNE is my old love. I made some money on it few years back. Yesterday when I was browsing thru my notes I spotted it and found out they report on 1/31/08. The stock is down to $1 so I bought it on a pure speculation. See if it pops with the Fourth Quarter 2007 Financial Results.

01/29/2008 Shares: 1,000 Per share: $1.0198 Total: $1,019.85

The plan is to keep it thru the reporting time and within 10 days decide whethert to stay or go.

Bought 200 sh JMBA

JAMBA Juice is one of few companies that has no dept. It has about $44M in cash. The mortgage has hurt it because of it presence in California. My short-term indicator says buy, long-term is ready to buy so I opened a small position to bring it on my screen.

Sold 100 sh TOL

Sold 100 sh again. This is my second sell. First one was at the end of 2007 for write-off some losses. TOL went up from low $16 to $22 (over 35%) in a week, that is I think too much. I did not buy at low $16 because of a possible wash sale from last year.  I am not sure how that would apply for tax reasons, so I am forced to sell at a loss.

Dividents GHS $80 (200sh $0.40/sh)

Today was divident distribution day: $0.40 per share. So I earned $80. Next time it will be $120 with 300 shares I own.

Bought 100sh GHS

GHS yields over 20% so I could not pass the oportunity to add another 100 sh today. Short term indicators are a little bit iffy but long term definetly shows buy.

Book: The Next Great Bubble Boom

From the Inside Flap

Harry S. Dent has been among the most successful forecasters of his time: His books The Great Boom Ahead and The Roaring 2000s predicted the 1990s boom ahead of anyone else.

In this new, provocative look at the coming years, Dent again casts his discerning contrarian eye on what he sees as the good times to come—and the woes to follow. Among his key predictions:
• A third and final bubble takes the Dow to 35,000 to 40,000 and the Nasdaq to 13,000 by late 2009 or early 2010.

• A second technology boom brings cellular, Internet, and broadband connections to 90% of U.S. households by 2009.

• Inflation falls into early 2006 and rises mildly into 2009; then we see deflation between 2010 and 2023.

• Another devastating crash occurs between 2010 and 2012, which ushers in a thirteen-year bear market into 2022.
